In Odessa, the factory sea trials of the head artillery armored boat BK-01 of project 58155 "Gyurza-M" have begun, according to a message on the official page of the Ukrainian Navy on Facebook. As bmpd clarifies, the tested boat received the serial number 01023. Presumably, it will be named "Belgorod-Dnestrovsky". In total, two ships should be built according to the project.

The laying of both boats took place at the Leninskaya Kuznitsa shipyard in Kiev in October 2012. The boats were intended for the river division of the Western Naval Base of the Ukrainian Navy; it was formed in January 2013. Initially, it was planned that nine boats of the Gyurza-M project would be built for the Ukrainian Navy, but later the authorities abandoned these plans.

The reason for the reduction in the order for the supply of boats was the lack of funds from the state budget, as well as a significant delay in the delivery of ready-made ships to the fleet. The first two armored boats - BK-01 and BK-02 - were launched in November 2015, and then transported to Odessa for completion and testing.

The armored boat of project 58155 with a length of 23 meters and a width of 4.8 meters has a total displacement of 50.7 tons. The ship is capable of speeds up to 25 knots, and its cruising range is 700 miles. The boat is armed with two remotely controlled combat modules "Katran-M" with an automatic cannon of 30 mm caliber, a grenade launcher of 30 mm caliber and a machine gun of 7.62 mm caliber.

In addition, the boat's armament includes two anti-tank missile systems "Barrier" with a laser guidance system.
